This year the former District Awards Program has been replaced by a "Recognition" Program deisgned to encourage more clubs to apply to have their programs and projects recognised across a range of available categories.
The former program was rather competitive in nature and only one winner was recognised in each of the categories, whereas with the new program there may be several clubs awarded a recognition within the same category.
Last year Brimbank Central was awarded the Thomas Lothian Rotary Awareness Award for the work we did to promote the Community Fun Day.Read more...

Annual Charity Golf Day moved to November 2015
The Rotary Club's Annual Charity Golf Day is going to be held for the first time in November 2015. Due to clashes with other Rotary Club and Rotary District 9800 events early in the calendar year in 2015, several changes have had to be made to the dates in recent years resulting in several sponsors and players not being able to play. This has been an issue in previous years, and so a decision has been made to run it within the first 6 months of the new Rotary Year.
We sincerely hope that by moving the day forward to November and avoiding this possibility that we will get a full field of players.
The event will be held again at Medway Golf Club on Friday 20th Novermber with a 12.30pm shotgun start.
The Golf will be followed by a Dinner and Auctions in the dining room of the Golf Club. Information for the day is currently being prepared and will be sent out to prospective sponsors and players early in July giving them plenty of time to prepare to get their entries in to be part of this event.
We will again be partnering with the Rotary Club of Keilor East.
